Ege Avcı is a comic book artist in Turkey. In his stories, he deals with the themes of provincial life, individual loneliness, and coming to terms with the past, using a strong visual language and a simple style.
His first comic book album, Kebenin Gölgesinde 2018, tells a coming-of-age story that follows the events around the loss of two young people’s friend living in the countryside, through a parallel narrative. He also built a unique bridge between literature, music, and visual arts with his comic book Bütün Ayazların Ortasında 2020, which he created inspired by rapper Kayra’s album of the same name.
He is currently continuing his stories in the monthly humor magazine Uykusuz published in Turkey.
